Influence… If we don’t master the art we are subjects of those who do…
Freedom is the inherent right of all humans, and freedom of choice allows humans to influence or to be influenced. Those who make the choice to be influenced and to serve the wishes of others – whether this is a conscious decision or one of unconscious habitual behavior – have the right to do so – until – unless – they decide to do differently.
Fate… Is what we get if we relinquish our inherent rights and allow others to take control of our “destiny” – simply because they are talented in the art of influence and we lack sufficient self-esteem to cause us to maintain our freedom.
Fretting about the truth and being overly concerned about those who choose to be influenced by others would be wasted energies… The “theater” is established. The wise person will identify the situation at hand and adapt themselves make the best of it. A fool would complain in the hope of their complaint changing the scenario…
But just what is “the truth”? There are more opinions about the truth than there are people who will attempt to discover the truth – to unravel the truth from all of the illusions that have been established and are supported by the masses. It requires a firm personal constitution and an extraordinary amount of faith in order for one to discover the hidden truths – truths buried beneath a huge overburden of false beliefs – false assumptions eluding us from the facts.
Oh so many books, courses and procedures we could turn to in our quest for the truth – to console us – or to control us – in our times of confusion. Our conscious minds are often overwhelmed in our attempts to consciously alter our behaviors and improve our reality.
So few realize that in order to effect changes in our behaviors, we must address our unconscious mind, which is at the root of our problems (challenges) – as well as being the root (and route) to our solutions.
Further challenges for our “enlightenment” exist in the fact that the illusions are well-established habitual behaviors, which the subjects believe to be the truth. The vast majority of society believes these illusions so strongly that they not only practice the illusions – but they tend to enforce their beliefs upon others when possible.
One of the most prominent human behaviors is the desire to be accepted, respected and appreciated. A fear of rejection seems to guide many of our decisions. Therefore – the degree of popularity among the masses, for any notion or action, (not the validity or value) is often the determining factor in the acceptance of said notion or action.
From fear of rejection now – to the fear of the unknown… Humans strongly resist change because change has many unknown possibilities and change takes a conscious effort. We can call it being thrifty with our energies if we so choose. We usually choose to not over tax our conscious mind – so most humans rely, whenever possible, upon our habitual subconscious mind to guide our life activities.
In a nutshell – humans go about life mostly in an unconscious state of mind – operating from habits that conform to the desires of the majority of others… Sadly – those others, who most humans live to please – certainly do not have our best interest in mind – but are intent upon serving their own desires – those desires being to cause others to conform to their desires…
Anyone can – and many would – argue with these notions to the end of time. I applaud those who do argue – as they merely confirm the aforementioned notions – they fear change and rejection so they maintain their habitual behaviors and strive to nurture them.
My intention is not to influence the reader into anything more than to examine the possibilities and to be a bit more aware of cause and effect – because I happen to be one of those whom your actions will likely have an effect upon… I would be happy if more people chose to be kind and loving – I would enjoy that effect.
The bottom line…
Reprogramming our habitual unconscious mind to eliminate the self-defeating false notions – the illusions – is the most efficient method to effect a positive change in our behaviors. This is best accomplished when our brain waves are in a state of vibration below the fully aware beta state of mind. Hypnosis, NLP, meditation and other methods can assist us in this area – if we can get past our fears of the unknown long enough to get to know something better.
